03/11/2005 Boryoku-Gai, Violent Streets (1974) is my first Hideo Gosha and one that is not listed by imdb or allmovie.
Call it a 70's exploitation auteur movie, it has the sex and the violence for it.
It also features a fair share of live night club flamenco -nowadays Japanese take flamenco classes in Andalucia- , a very convincing performance by yakuza-turned-actor Noboru Ando and an overall Peckinpah-like melancholy. The typical swaying zooms haven't lost anything of their power, and the photography certainly has its moments.
The torrent is pretty easy to find...
