10/11/2005 The evermoving camera in Infernal Affairs is symptomatic for its Hollywood slickness,
but the actors believe in what their doing and the script is a suspensefull mixture of a spy-thriller and a 50's gangster movie, with some nice Dirty Harry rooftop scenes. The nail biting comes from simple things like elevator numbers and even morse code, body count is amazingly low, photography has its moments, what could you want more from a commercial Hong Kong blockbuster.
Conventional can be cool.
