Playtime

Playtime is Tati's Greed or Tati going Welles, in the way that is was just too big for everything.
Filmed on 70mm -I saw a restored 35mm copy- it kept Tati busy from '58 -year of Mon Oncle- till its release in '67.
I liked the graphic quality of the beginning, and the joy with which Tati turns traffic into a fair at the end. The middle demanded some of my good will, especially the long restaurant episode despite its humor.
Even if it is not Tati's most entertaining nor satisfying movie, it still beats by far most crap the media sells you.
