Fashionable fascism

In its third issue the Belgian edition of the monthly Elle -with the help of the Antwerp duo Bjorn & Luc- casually salutes German 'photographer' Leni Riefenstahl, who also happens to be the movie director of 'Triumf des Willens', a 'documentary' with a seemingly illimited budget and a totally cool subject: a massive display of nazi army parading followed by a performance -to call it a speech would be an understatement- by Adolf Hitler.
Sadly enough Riefenstahl never admitted the political consequences of directing this and other movies for Hitler, so indeed we can not call her a fascist director, just a talent that grabbed shamelessly a great opportunity while her friends were busy leaving Germany.
Anyway, I think this is a really cool thing to do for a fashion magazine.
