A Nice Day to Fly

Haven't done it for a while.
Used to really like the take offs, especially when the pilot or co-pilot -how I am supposed to know, the one who isn't too drunk to do it- abruptly kicked the power in.
Never liked the landings, they always seemed out of control.
Don't look forward to it too much now, to me it's a bit like travelling by bus, people all nicely arranged in rows with no way out when things go wrong. Something Americans like(d) to watch boring movies about.
Home come we are still waiting for the first comedy about terrorists flying into some big twin thing? Like a remake of Kubrick's 'Dr Strangelove' on the Twin Tower attack and the American government letting it happen to start war?
Maybe in ten years?

The flying matched all my expectations, especially the landing.
