There they were, sitting and watching the beach with binoculars.
What exactly they were surveiling, I couldn't tell.
Let's see, there were windsurfers on the water and girls on the beach,.
N ow what could be their responsability,
their not seaguards, are they?

Of course, this all could lead to a serious misrepresentation of Spain's finest..
Not the watching bit, that defenitely seems to be their main activity,
but normally you see them driving by, slowly.
It is said that they sometimes stop, I can testify for that,
and even that they get out of the car, but that would require a good reason, like a bar for example.
Not bad, and it sure beats cleaning the basura off the beach under the blazing sun
and saying hello to people with a big smile.

Because the thing is, even if you are truly ejoying sitting in your uniform behind the windscreen of your 4X4,
you just don"t show it to strangers, authority is what you should project -that much remains from the Franco heritage-
not the fact that you love pimping around in your car more than anything in the world.
