Estupido

When the perscador is stupid, he walks a lot.
When the pesca is stupid, he ends up pescado, on a grill.
Luckily for me, I meet enough stupid fish like the Sargo and the stupid brown one with the difficult Spanish name I can't remember and the even more stupid mainly brown one with the undoubtedly difficult Spanish name I don't know yet.
But it took me about 5 hunts before I understood the plain fact that the current at this particular fishing spot goes the wrong way, all this time I was doubting the tidal charts or my reading of them, but no.
When the tide comes in and most of the water goes from the Atlantic in the direction of the Mediterranean, on this particular spot there is a very convincing current that goes exactly the wrong way.
But now I know. So Burrequetas* and Salmonetes (Rouget), watch out!

Burrequetas are reasonably stupid fish that only live around the Estrecho, so I've been told.
That is, they didn't tell me they were stupid, I gathered that from the simple fact that I get to see them.
